The Internal Medicine Residency Program is dedicated to training the future leaders of medicine regardless of whether they plan to work in academic medicine, community practice, biomedical research, or healthcare policy and administration. The mission of the Interventional Radiology Residency at the University of Washington is to offer rich and diverse clinical experiences and training in both Diagnostic Radiology and Interventional Radiology. Our residents, who have a variety of backgrounds and interests, are selected from among the best and brightest applicants worldwide. Our program has an early sub-specialization in interventional radiology designation and approved integrated and independent residency programs.We are proud of our diverse faculty and the wide range of procedures we perform. The program, which accepts two to three residents annually, is fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. Our diagnostic radiology (DR) and interventional radiology (IR) residency programs are closely integrated and share the common goal of fostering leadership and incorporating innovative technology into compassionate patient care.
